What's the diff. between Levis 550 and 560? Which one is Less 'baggie'? Which one is more like regular (501) Levis?
Asked on 1/3/2014 by JB from Bend, OR

      • A:

Levi's 550 jeans are a relaxed fit jean with a slightly tapered leg. Levi's 560 jeans are called a comfort fit jean and have a loose fit with a tapered leg. Levi's 550 jeans are the less baggy of the two. Neither of the two styles are similar to the Levi's 501 jeans, which have a classic, straight fit and a straight leg. Both Levi's 550 and 560 jeans will fit looser than the 501 jeans.

Hi, JB. Thanks for your inquiry. All three Levi's options: , 550, 560, and 501 sit at the waist. The 501's are the slimmest fit, and 560's are the loosest fit.

Would you consider this a short rise pant?

      • A:

The Relaxed Fit 550 Jeans sit at the waist and are what I would consider a 12-inch "standard rise". "Short-rise" or "low rise' pants sit below the hip and have a 10 or 11-inch rise. Levi's 505's, 511's, and 517's are some of the styles that feature this rise.
